WASHINGTON__Under normal circumstances, Lawrence Pacheco would start his day at 8:30 a.m. in a business suit on Capitol Hill.
But Thursday, Pacheco left his sweaty exercise clothes on and went straight to work … in his guest bedroom.
With the House of Representatives side of the U.S. Capitol closed for five days following an Anthrax attack on the Senate, Pacheco, the press secretary for Rep. Mark Udall (D-Colo.), was forced to work from home.
Snuggled in a corner between a four-post bed with a purple canopy and a TV blaring CNN in the guest bedroom of his Arlington, Va. apartment, Pacheco manned his I-Mac computer to coordinate Udall's daily media interaction.
