WASHINGTON - Since the last presidential election, a new medium for political pontificating has emerged – the blog.
Web logs, or blogs, are online journals that allow anyone with Internet access and an opinion to become a pundit. The Internet now has more than its fair share of politically charged rants and raves – some profanely conversational and funny, others serious. Blogs can be updated continuously, and most allow readers to respond.
Barb Palser, content director for Internet Broadcasting Systems Inc. – a company advocating convergence of Internet and local television coverage – has kept tabs on blogs during the election season. She has seen an increase in blogging, which she credits to increased Internet access.
