Audrie Garrison - Summer 2008
She is a journalism and political science major and regularly writes and edits for IU's daily student newspaper, the Indiana Daily Student. She will be editor-in-chief of the paper in the fall. She has also worked as a summer intern at the Arizona Republic in Phoenix and the Shelbyville News in Shelbyville, Ind.
Audrie was first introduced to the Scripps Howard Foundation when she traveled to Japan and South Korea in 2006 with eight other students as part of the Roy W. Howard National Reporting Competition. She was also a Scripps Howard Foundation Top Ten Scholar in 2006.
