Emily Kern - Summer 2000
Emily Kern plans to graduate from Louisiana State University in December 2000 with a bachelor’s degree from the Manship School of Mass Communication.
She began her journalism career as a staff writer for the student newspaper, The Reveille, and served as editor of the paper during the 1999-2000 school year.
She has also worked as a freelance writer and news aide for The Advocate in Baton Rouge.
After graduation, Kern plans to either pursue a career in journalism or apply to law school at LSU.
