Ryan Alessi - Summer 1999

I'll be a senior at Ohio University next year. Somehow the last three years flew by. I spent my first two years of college working as a reporter for the daily, independent newspaper, The Post. Most recently I served as the in depth staff editor. Next year brings with it the challenge of being the editor. But that is a challenge I cannot wait to take on. In addition to journalism, I've acquired an interest in politics and am earning a minor in political science. I don't yet have plans for after graduation, but I know they will be in journalism. I am a Baltimore native, but Ohio has become my second home. I spent last summer as an intern at Crain's Cleveland Business, the weekly business publication in Cleveland. And I have spent my free time traveling across the state.
